Is the Free Walking Tour Amsterdam really free?

Q: Is the Free Walking Tour Amsterdam really free?

Yes. The Free Walking Tour Amsterdam is free to visit and there is no fixed ticket price. The guides work on a tip basis. At the end of the tour, participants decide for themselves how much the experience was worth to them and give the guide a voluntary donation. In addition, a small booking fee is charged when making the reservation, which is used to organize the tours and manage the bookings.

Our standard walking tours are tip-based, with no fixed tour price. You choose what to give your guide at the end. Online reservations have a €2 booking fee per participant, which is separate from the guide’s tip.

The Food Tour has an €8 booking & food fee that includes tastings. Check your chosen tour page for its fee and current availability.
