Deine Reservierung ist bis 10 Minuten vor Tourbeginn gesichert, danach können wir deinen Platz an andere vergeben.

Das Nationaldenkmal ist die weiße Statue auf dem Dam-Platz, auf der gegenüberliegenden Seite des Königspalasts. Dein Guide wartet auf den breiten Treppen vor der Statue mit einem weißen Regenschirm auf dich.
Komm bitte 10 Minuten früher, denn sobald wir den Treffpunkt verlassen, kannst du die Gruppe im Labyrinth der Amsterdamer Straßen nicht mehr einholen.

What if I am too late
Be like the Dutch, who are known for being notoriously on time! Your spot is guaranteed until 10 minutes before the tour starts. After this, we may allocate your spot to other travellers.
Trying to find us may be difficult in the maze of canals and alleys in Amsterdam. Make sure you leave on time, take it easy and chat with us before the tour starts on Dam square.
If you are late and we left the meeting point, it is not possible to catch up with the group. Join us another tour!
How do I recognize the guide?
Recognizing an Amsterdam guide is easy:
- We carry a white umbrella with an orange Free Walking Tour logo on it.
- We are standing in front of the National Monument on Dam square, with a curious attitude towards meeting new people.
- We look very excited to tell our new friends about our beloved city.
Can I just walk up to join the tour?
Please book the tour in advance, we are mostly fully booked, and the booking is valid up to 10 minutes before the start of the tour.
We do accept walk-ins, if there are spots available. Please take into account that we can take a maximum of 15 people per guide, so there is a chance that it won’t be possible for your whole group to join without a reservation.
The tour is full. Can I still join?
You can surely give it a try! Sometimes people do not show up and we allocate their place to others.
What does the tour cost?
The tour is free and based on tips only, so you decide the reward. At the end of the tour, the guide will ask for a donation that you find fitting. People who enjoy the tour give around €10 per person, however we cater to every budget and appreciate the gesture first and foremost.
For booking the tour, we ask a €2 booking fee per person. This guarantees the reservation, both for you and ourselves, and covers our online work on the backside organizing beautiful tours for you!
